Giving students the tools they need to lead.
The TEDxYouth program was created to enable young people to learn new skills, gain confidence, and share their ideas. At TEDxYouth@BIS, we believe the best way to do this is to give students the freedom - and responsibility - of managing the event from start to finish. The faculty advisors merely provide guidance and frameworks through which organizational teams and groups of speakers prepare for the annual event. Through our new mentorship program, established in August 2016, veteran speakers and organizers work with small groups of newcomers to provide guidance and feedback. Student mentors are eligible for CAS and MYP Service & Action credit.
